College: Beshears had 124 digs and 52 kills as a freshman at Emory.

Personal: Beshears was the team captain of her high school volleyball team all four years, and also competed in basketball, softball and beach volleyball.  She ended her high school career with a school-record 1,286 kills to go with over 950 digs, 200 blocks and 200 aces.  She also set program records for most kills in a match (29) and season (367).
