College: Visscher began her collegiate career playing two years indoors at Concordia University of Edmonton as an outside hitter. She then transferred to Jacksonville State University in Alabama to play beach volleyball. In her first season she played mostly at the number one position, and became the first player from Alberta to receive an NCAA beach volleyball scholarship. Visscher transferred to the University of Alberta to finish her degree.
Personal: Visscher played volleyball, soccer, track and field, and danced competitively in high school in Alberta, Canada.
