Personal: Sours, who was born in Lubbock, Texas, has three siblings, Colter, Jaxan and Sayler. In high school she lettered in volleyball, basketball and track and field. She was a four-time 1A Volleyball Player of the Year and her team won four straight state championships. In basketball she was all-state three years and her team was the state runner-up two consecutive years. Sours first competed at the state track and field championship as an eighth grader, and earned a second place in high jump and twice in javelin while winning state titles in 800-meter relay and medley relay. She graduated in the top three in her class.  Following college she played two years professionally in Hungary as she obtained her masters degree.
