College: Ferch played beach volleyball at Cal Pol-San Luis Obispo, playing on court two as a freshman alongside Jayelin Lombard, finishing with a 22-18 match record. She moved to court one as a sophomore, playing mostly with Izzy Martinez and producing a 21-19 record. As a junior Ferch had a 30-5 match record on court two, setting a school record for most pairs win along with Erin Innskeep. In her senior season she partnered again with Innskeep on court one, compiling a 28-7 record. Ferch and Innskeep set the school record for most wins as a pair (60) and Ferch was an AVCA First Team All-American.
Personal: Ferch's father, Kral, played basketball at Montana State and for USA Volleyball for four years. Her mother, Allison, swam and played water polo at UC San Diego. Ferch has two brothers, Rand and Will. In high school she played volleyball and competed in track and field, qualifying for state in the long jump.
