Bio Bits

College: Vander Meer earned four letters at Ball State. He set school records for most digs in a four-set match (23) and most 20+ dig matches in a career (three, all coming in 2014). Vander Meer's 308 digs his senior season was the eighth most in program history.

Personal: Vander Meer's mother, Michelle, played basketball and ran track at Aquinas College, and coached him in club volleyball. His dad, David, is a referee on the AVP Tour. Vander Meer has three sisters, Megan, Sydney and Jennifer, and one brother, Nathanael.
