College: Sparks won her only match, with Bailey Showalter, in her first season playing beach volleyball at Cal Poly.

Personal: Sparks' mother Lena played volleyball at Cal Irvine and she has two older sisters who also play volleyball.  Her oldest sister Lindsey played beach volleyball at UCLA and Cal Poly while Emily played beach volleyball at Cal State Northridge and then Long Beach.  In high school Sparks played indoor volleyball four years and beach volleyball three years, and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
