Beach Bits: • In August 2021 in Atlanta, Brasher became the first woman outside of the early days of beach volleyball to win a tournament in her pro beach volleyball debut, winning alongside Kristen Cruz. • In April 2022 in Coolangatta, Australia, Brasher won a gold medal in her first ever international beach volleyball event, playing with Kristen Cruz. • Entering the 2026 season, Brasher and Cruz have played in the title match in each of their last seven AVP events.
2025: Brasher and Cruz won all 10 matches and both titles in the only two AVP tournaments they competed in. They again competed for the Austin Aces in the AVP League, going 7-1 before losing in the semifinals of the League Championships. Brasher and Cruz played in eight international events, winning three golds, two silvers and one bronze. They won a silver medal in the World Championships in Australia. 2024: Brasher and Cruz played in the finals of all three AVP events, winning in Manhattan Beach for the first time in their careers. They ended the year with a 14-2 match record, with the only losses in the title matches by a 15-13 score in the third set. In the inaugural AVP League Brasher and Cruz competed for the Austin Aces and went 4-4 in matches. After a pair of ninths, the duo won a silver medal and a pair of golds leading into the 2024 Olympics in Paris where they were seeded second. They went 3-0 in pool play but finished ninth after losing to the eventual silver medalists. Brasher and Cruz ended the international season with another gold medal in the BPT Finals. 2023: Brasher and Cruz had a pair of thirds on the AVP Tour before winning the last two events they competed in. Internationally the duo played 12 times, winning eight medals including the last five of the season. One of their bronze medals came in the World Championships in Mexico. They won four gold medals, capping off the season with a title in the BPT Finals. 2022: Brasher and Kristen Cruz led the AVP Tour with three victories, winning the season opener as well as consecutive events in Chicago and Phoenix in the season championships. Of their 35 matches, 19 came against teams seeded fifth or higher. Brasher made her international debut in a Futures event in Australia, where she and Cruz won a pair of qualification matches and went undefeated in winning the title. Brasher and Cruz again advanced from the qualifier and won a gold medal in Turkiye, and advanced to one other semifinal in their total of nine international events. 2021: Brasher played in all three AVP tournaments with Kristen Cruz and made history immediately, winning in her pro beach volleyball debut in Atlanta after advancing from the qualifier. The pair then placed fifth and third in the last two events. For the season they were 16-4 in matches, with all four losses coming to teams seeded first or second. Brasher was second on the Tour in hitting percentage (.527), third in blocks (1.20 per set) and fourth in kills (7.40 per set).
Olympics: • Qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics as the number two seed with Kristen Cruz. The duo went 3-0 in pool play but lost in the first round of bracket play to the eventual silver medalists Canada's Melissa Humana-Paredes / Brandie Wilkerson and finished in ninth place.
College: Brasher was an outside hitter for four years at Creighton, and she tallied 1,427 career kills, the fourth most in Bluejay history. Brasher was a two-time AVCA Honorable Mention All-American and Creighton advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight her sophomore season. Brasher played three seasons of beach volleyball at LSU, which at one point held the nation's number one ranking. In her first season on the beach she went 18-9. The next year Brasher was 13-0 with Kelli Agnew on court 4, and the duo was the only pair in the country to win every set throughout the season with a minimum of 10 matches played together. That year Brasher was 14-0 in matches, then her final season went 36-0 on court 1 when playing with Kristen Cruz. She became just the 15th player to be an All-American both indoors and on the beach.
Personal: Formerly Taryn Kloth, she married Eric Brasher in July 2025. Brasher has seven younger siblings. She was twice selected as the South Dakota state tournament MVP, and was the South Dakota's Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior. PrepVolleyball.com had Brasher ranked 18th on its Senior Aces list, believed to be the highest ranked player ever from South Dakota. She set the team records for most kills in a match, season and career, as well as attack percentage for a season.
