A two-time Olympian for the United States, Landry was an outside hitter on the 2000 team. He is
competing for the first time on the beach and posted a fourth with fellow Olympian John Hyden at the
2001 Oceanside Invitational event in May. Landry was a member of the United States National Team for
eight seasons (1993-2000). He received USA Volleyball’s “Tommy Haine Coaches Award” in 1995. A
four-season standout at UCLA (1990-1993), Landry led the Bruins to the 1993 National Championship by
setting a NCAA tournament two-match record with a .575 hitting percentage. He earned All-American
honors in 1992 and 1993. Landry played his first two seasons at UCLA with shoulder problems. Born in
San Diego, Landry majored in History at UCLA. He grew up in Manila, Philippines where his parents were
Christian missionaries. He lists Mexican as his favorite food and "The Usual Suspects" as his favorite
movie. Landry enjoys reading, rock climbing, playing the violin and spending time with friends.
