2025: Field played five AVP tournaments with three
different partners. In the season opener he and Theo Brunner placed
fifth after being eliminated for the second time in the last three
season openers by former partner Chase Budinger. After placing ninth in a
Tour Series event with Ford Harman he won two Tour Series titles with
Evan Cory, going 12-0 in matches in those events. Field ended the year
playing in Manhattan Beach with Brunner, placing 17th. Field also played
three times on the NORCECA Tour, placing fifth and second with Ryan
Wilcox and then winning a gold with Avery Drost. 2024: Field
began a new partnership with Tim Bomgren, playing in four AVP events
together. They finished third in their debut and had a second in a Tour
Series event, and ended the year with a third in Chicago. Field also
played one Tour Series tournament with Ford Harman, placing ninth. Field
and Bomgren competed for the Los Angeles Launch in the inaugural season
of the AVP League, finishing with a 2-6 match record. 2023: Field
played eight AVP events with four different partners. In the season
opener in Miami he played with Phil Dalhausser, finishing in third place
after losing to former partner Budinger. Field then played twice with
Billy Allen, placing second and then seventh. Field and Evan Cory played
four times with a best of seventh twice, then he concluded the season
with a 13th alongside Silila Tucker in a Tour Series event. Field and
Paul Lotman lost in the qualifier of a World Tour event, then Field and
Cory won a Futures event before twice losing in qualifiers. Field and
Tucker won a solver medal in a NORCECA event. 2022: Field and Chase Budinger played
eight AVP tournaments together, finishing second and third in the first
two events of the year. They had one other third place finish in their
next six events. Field and Budinger played seven World Tour events
with a best of a silver medal in a Challenge event. 2021:
Field played twice on the AVP Tour with Eric Beranek, with a best of
seventh, then placed ninth alongside Miles Evans. Field was second on
the Tour in hitting percentage (.512). Internationally Field played four
times, winning a silver medal in Rwanda with Chase Budinger and a
silver and gold with Evans.
2020: Field and Bomgren played in all three AVP tournaments in Long Beach, but lost in the qualifier each time.
2019: Field formed a partnership with Tim Bomgren and the
duo made the semifinals each of the first three AVP events, including a
second-place finish in New York. In total the pair played all eight
events, with six of them finishing fifth or better. Field was ranked
10th in blocks (1.42 per set).
2018: Field played seven AVP tournaments with three
different partners. He had a best of ninth place three times, once with
David Vander Meer and twice with Chase Frishman. He also played twice
with Adam Roberts. Internationally Field competed in four events, once
with Bobby Jacobs and Eric Zaun, and twice with Roberts.
2017: Field made his pro beach volleyball debut in Hermosa
Beach with Justin Johnson, losing in the qualifier. He played with
Orlando Irizarry in Manhattan Beach, advancing from the qualifier to
reach his first main draw.
Personal: Field has an older brother, Michael, and a younger
sister, Kiana. His father was a high school quarterback and his mom was
from Denmark. Field grew up in San Clemente, Ca. but in his sophomore
year of high school moved to Lafayette, La. He did not start playing
volleyball until he was 18 years old after being inspired by the 2012
London Olympic Games. Field teammed with Madison and Riley McKibbon in a
three-on-three FIVB snow volleyball event, advancing from the qualifier
and defeating Russia 22-20 in the third set to win a gold medal in
Italy in 2019.
