Formerly Capri Hilgendorf, she played at Northwood University (West Palm Beach, Fla.). She was named to the all-Florida Sun Conference team as an outside hitter her sophomore season. As a junior she became a middle blocker and was again named all-conference the next two seasons.
She was married to fellow pro beach volleyball player Steve Grotowski, and they had a son (Cayd) and a daughter (Kayh).
