Bio Bits

College: Budinger played at Long Beach State, where he was a member of the 2004 NCAA All-Tournament Team which finished second, and a 2006 AVCA Second Team All-American. Budinger set the school's single season record for hitting percentage (.512), as well as the single match record in both conference tournament play (.773) and NCAA tournament (.667). He left the school with 1,198 kills (11th all time), 405 blocks (seventh all time) and a career .439 hitting percentage (sixth all time).

Personal: Budinger's sister, Brittanie, played volleyball at San Francisco, while his brother, Chase, played seven years in the NBA before playing on the AVP Tour. Following graduation from Long Beach State, Budinger played professional indoor volleyball in Finland and The Netherlands.
