Morrison began playing on the AVP Tour in 2003, making his first semifinal in Brooklyn in 2009 in what was his 75th event.
Morrison graduated from Western Michigan University, and played a few beach tournaments on the shores of Lake Michigan before deciding to move to Southern California for surfing and beach volleyball. He is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and has published several articles about fitness in DiG Magazine. He is married (Susan).
